What we collect

This website does not require an account and does not ask you to sign in.

We only receive personal information when you choose to send it, by filling in the program inquiry form or the contact form. Those forms ask for your name, your role, your organization, your email address, and optionally your phone number, along with details about the group of young people you work with and what you are asking for.

If analytics are switched on, we also receive aggregate information about how the site is used, such as which pages are viewed and which website a visitor arrived from. That information is not tied to a named person.

Information about young people

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through this website, and we do not ask for it.

Our forms deliberately do not request student names, student records, disciplinary history, court records, medical information, or any other personal history about an individual young person. We ask organizations to describe their group in general terms only, such as an approximate number of youth and an age range.

If you are under 18 and you want Level Up at your school or program, please ask a counselor, teacher, youth leader, or parent to contact us on your behalf.

If you believe a young person has sent us personal information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.

How we use what you send

We use the details you submit to reply to you, to understand what your organization is asking for, and to follow up about programming, funding, or partnership as relevant to your message.

We do not sell your information. We do not rent it. We do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build marketing profiles.

We may share limited information with a service provider that helps us operate this website or deliver our email, and only so that they can provide that service to us.

Photographs of youth

Photography is not a focus of our programming, and we do not treat photographs of participating youth as proof of impact. Protecting students' privacy is how we keep sessions honest. Where a school or organization has its own media policy and consent process, that process applies and we follow it. We do not publish images that identify young people.

Where student work or student feedback is published on this site, it is published anonymously, without names or identifying details. Original feedback forms are stored securely and are only shared on request in a way that does not identify a student.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not set advertising cookies and does not use third-party tracking pixels.

Fonts are served from this website rather than from a third-party font service, so viewing a page does not send a request to another company.

If privacy-conscious analytics are switched on, they are configured to measure page views and referral sources in aggregate without cookies and without collecting personal information.

How long we keep things

Inquiry and contact messages are kept for as long as they are useful for the relationship they relate to, and then deleted.

If you would like us to delete your details sooner, contact us and we will do it.

Your choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us and we will respond.

You can also simply not use the forms. Nothing on this site requires you to submit personal information in order to read it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how this website handles information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
